Frederick W.P. Buttrell Joins Parent of Med-Trans Corporation and Executive Air Taxi as President and Chief Executive Officer

September 5, 2006 - TJ Holding Company, Incorporated (TJ Holding), the parent of Med-Trans Corporation (Med-Trans), a provider of emergency air medical transportation services, and Executive Air Taxi Corporation (Executive Air), a fixed base operator (FBO) located in Bismarck, North Dakota, has named Frederick W.P. Buttrell as President and Chief Executive Officer.
Mr. Buttrell is a highly accomplished aviation executive with over 21 years of operational experience both serving our country and the private sector. He started his aviation career upon graduating from the United States Air Force Academy in 1985, serving as a fighter pilot flying both F-4E and F-15E aircraft. Mr. Buttrell culminated his service career with two tours in the Persian Gulf as a mission commander in operations Desert Storm and Solid Shield, flying in 57 combat missions. Following his service career, he joined American Airlines in 1994 and held positions in maintenance and engineering, supply chain and information systems. In 1996, Mr. Buttrell joined Delta Airlines. During his nine and half years at Delta he held many senior positions including the Vice President of the operations control center, Vice President for Delta’s Atlanta Worldport (the world’s largest hub operation), Senior Vice President of Strategic Planning, President and CEO of Delta Connection, and President and CEO of Comair Airlines. Mr. Buttrell received his MBA from Cox Business School at Southern Methodist University and has served on many philanthropic boards including most recently on the board of the Georgia Chapter of Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, the advisory board of the Emory School of Medicine and the United Way Foundation in Cincinnati.
