SupplyOne Acquires Quincy Resource Group
9/4/2009
Effective September 4, 2009, SupplyOne, Inc. acquired Quincy Resource Group (Quincy) based in Jackson, Wisconsin.
Serving the greater Milwaukee area and eastern half of Wisconsin for the past 35 years, Quincy Resource Group is a proven leader in commercial and industrial corrugated packaging. With a full suite of service offerings including design, manufacturing, printing, storage, distribution and fulfillment, Quincy will complement the growing SupplyOne national footprint; providing customers with innovative, cost effective packaging solutions aimed at improving their customer’s profitability.
Quincy Resource Group was founded in April of 1973 in Cedarburg, Wisconsin, and growth through customer care and satisfaction became the catalyst to being a premier corrugated supplier. Mike Beaman purchased Quincy Container in 1994 with a vision to build the “best” sheet plant in the Midwest. In 1998 the company’s fulfillment division was formed. With this added service, it became apparent that Quincy was more than a carton supplier and that a name change was needed. In 2001 Quincy Container became Quincy Resource Group.
Expanding in the Midwest through this acquisition, SupplyOne will continue offering its customers the broadest range of packaging products and services available today. SupplyOne is known for its comprehensive offering of products, programs and services including: custom corrugated packaging, packaging equipment and supplies, plastic thermoformed products, pressure sensitive labels, Food Packaging, Retail Packaging and its unique Packaging Management Program.
Jim Diel, President of Quincy Resource Group commented, “We are excited about our new partnership and anxious to expose our loyal customer base to SupplyOne’s other manufactured products, such as labels and plastic thermoforming. In the near future we will offer a broad line of packaging equipment, along with a complete line of packaging and shipping supplies. This is an exciting time for our associates and customers. We can’t wait to share our enthusiasm with them and introduce SupplyOne’s industry leading service programs which help customers reduce supply chain costs and improve profitability.”
William T. Leith, President and CEO of SupplyOne said, “We are pleased to welcome Quincy Resource Group into our expanding network of specialty packaging manufacturers and distributors. Quincy is built on a strong foundation of great people, excellent customer relationships and service excellence. It is a perfect fit and ideal complement to our operating culture, and we look forward to working closely with our new customers and colleagues. Quincy’s experienced sales professionals will soon be presenting to their customers SupplyOne’s unique service programs and the broadest line of packaging and shipping supplies in the industry.”
According to Ryan Northington, Partner at MVP, "We are pleased to support the continued expansion and growth of the SupplyOne platform. Quincy represents a meaningful addition to our footprint, capabilities, and management strength."
This merger continues SupplyOne’s growth strategy of acquiring profitable companies who are recognized leaders in their local market areas with excellent customer relationships. We look forward to the growth prospects this new entity provides, as we continue our commitment to be the Leader in Packaging Solutions.
